How Do They Get Away With It....?

This is going to be kind of an ass-backwards post. Most blog post should be promoting good, better, new products. This fine evening i will be showcasing how incredibly horrible some bikes can be. Most people that are into bicycles understand Mongoose bikes are not of any higher quality. In the 80's they were the shit. They saw a nitch market in BMX. stole the glory from the Sting Ray kids and ran with it. Im not familiar with the exact purchase date thereafter, but Mongoose is now owned by a very large conglomerate that sells souly to Walmart and other large, for lack of a better word, "department stores". To get to the point, these bikes are designed to look like what we know as quality, and function. Well some sneaky designer at Mongoose decided to let it be known. Consumers are tricked into buying these bicycles under the impression that they are "the same" as any other BMX bicycle ridding around the block. the first up close picture, is actually what happened to the customer. they got ripped off, "goosed" Now this is the doozie. The Stickers on this bike, which is the Mongoose "Outer Limit" and retails for 97$, actually tell you how good of quality this bicycle is. Thanks Walmart, im glad you approve of my purchase! on walmarts website, the only good reviews I found were when a kid loved the bike, but was only able to ride it in his basement.... Yes, im sure all of you are sitting back thinking, "why is this guy rambling about a Walmart bike, we all know they are piles of crap..." the main reason...? i think its hilarious they put text on a bike thats designed for 10-15 year olds that says " your bike sucks"! i wanna meet the dude who designed the sticker and the dude who signed the papers approving them to be printed...NOT! please Walmart spare these poor helpless individuals who purchase these bikes, and pray they dont file class action lawsuits against you for the malfunction of known and advertised faulty product! oh im not here to Walmart bash either. Its facts nothing we can do but sit back and laugh!
